Whenever possible, Dear Toad brings in a local author to share the joy of storytelling and spark student curiosity.

In 2025/2026, we were excited to welcome the enchanting Nelson based author-illustrator, Jaimie MacGibbon.

Jaimie inspired students by reading from her books, sharing her process, and facilitating illustration workshops.
